Interlocking Rubber Floor Tiles

Interlocking rubber tiles are made from the same high quality commercial material that we make our Dog Daycare flooring rolls from. We make the rolls first and then the rolls are put through a secondary manufacturing process and are die cut into the tiles. Our tiles are cut into 24 inch by 24 inch, by 3/8 inch thick. We dye cut the Dog Daycare flooring tiles instead of water jet cutting them, which gives our tiles an extremely tight seam.

The die cut does not take out any rubber so when the tiles are put back together, the seam is virtually invisible. For example, when you cut a piece of wood such as a two by four, every cut that you make the two by four is going to be shorter because you are cutting out wood the width of the saw blade. Our dye cutter slices through the rubber and does not take out any rubber which allows these tiles to achieve a virtually invisible connecting seam when they are installed.

We ship the tiles on a 28” x 50” pallet, stacked with two tiles connected together. Our seams are so tight and invisible that we often get calls from our customers, asking if shipped them the wrong tiles and they think they have received two foot by four foot tiles instead of two foot by two foot tiles. Our interlocking Dog Daycare flooring tiles are designed to be installed without any adhesive which makes them a great DIY project. They’re great for home gyms, for personal training, for commercial facilities, anything that you do not want to use adhesive or double-sided tape for.

They are also very durable. In fact we have a customer that has had three basement floods over the last several years and each time he has experienced a flood, once the water recedes and he gets the basement dried out, he takes up the tiles, takes them outside, pressure washes them, hits them with a little diluted bleach water, lets them dry out and re-installs them. There are not many Dog Daycare flooring surfaces where you could actually do that, but our tiles are tough and will go the distance. Installation is also very easy so if you’re looking to save some money and install them yourself, these tiles are perfect for you.

When you are ready to order interlocking rubber tiles, you first start by measuring the space you want to cover and figure out how much waste you will have. This will tell you how many total square feet you will need in order to complete the project. If you have any questions or need any help figuring the site, you can give us a call or send us your floor plan and our experienced Dog Daycare flooring experts can help you determine what you will need. It is important to get this right the first time in order to avoid the hassles of running short or having way too many tiles.

We carry border tiles, corner tiles and center tiles. The border tile has one finished side and three sides with the connecting tabs. The corner tile has two finished sides and two sides with the connecting tabs. And the center tile has four sides with the connecting tabs. This combination of tiles allows you to cover a wide variety of areas, all depending on how big your area is.

For example, if you wanted to cover, let’s say a 4 foot by 6 foot area, you would order 4 corners and 2 border tiles. Connect those together and you have a 4 foot by 6 foot mat. For a 10 foot by 20 foot area you would use 4 corners, 22 border tiles and 24 center tiles. This would cover a 10 foot by 20 area. And if we want to go a little bit larger, if you, for example you have a 40 foot by 60 foot area, you would order 4 corners, 92 border tiles and 504 center tiles.

As you can see with the combination of tiles you can make just about any size that you want as long as the exact size is divisible by two. If your measurements are not even you can easily trim the tiles. For larger installations or rooms that are odd sized, we recommend going with center tiles and trimming around the walls. Trimming is quite easy, it’s done with a standard utility knife and a metal straight edge.

First make sure your measurements are correct, take your utility knife, mark your cut and use the utility knife to cut through the rubber. Make two or three passes with the knife. Do not try to cut it all the first time, just make two or three passes with it, and you will have an extremely nice, clean edge.

Interlocking rubber tiles are also perfect for anyone with a business that has a short term lease or they’re planning on growing their business and moving to a larger facility. This allows them to use the tiles and if they want to move or expand, they can take up the tiles and take them with them. They are also perfect for when you do not want to or cannot use adhesive or double sided tape. If you want to move them, you just pick them up and take them with you.

They are also widely used in home gyms since they do not require adhesive and they can be installed by the homeowner. Another benefit is that if you ever do want to change the room or area to another use other than a gym, you simply remove the tiles and they will not leave any residue or damage to your existing floor.

We have tiles in many colors ranging from solid black up to higher color concentrations. Solid black is the least expensive and the cost increases slightly as more color is added.
